My Father's Garden
Introducing our latest Singapore Collection 25/26 — Journals Wrapped in Art 🌸
Leading this new series is My Father’s Garden, a painting inspired by my late father’s favourite orchids — the bright and graceful dancing ladies.
Unlike my usual palette of twenty hues, this piece is rendered in fewer than five — a quiet composition where golden blooms glow against a teal backdrop. It reflects the simplicity, strength, and steadfast love of the father figure who shaped my first thirty years.
May My Father’s Garden remind us of the quiet heroes in our lives — the ones who nurture without words, whose presence lingers like sunlight in bloom. 🌼💚
A meaningful gift for year-end reflections and for the father figures who have grounded your journey.
Backstory of the Painting:
Inspired by the radiant blooms commonly found across Singapore, this painting features the Oncidesa Goldiana, affectionately known as the Dancing Lady Orchid. With its vivid yellow petals adorned with tiger-like stripes and spots, the flower seems to leap with joy—graceful and untamed.
Often seen cascading in cheerful sprays, this orchid’s lively form and bold hues reflect both elegance and resilience—a quiet celebration of life in full bloom. Set against a calming teal background, each blossom seems to glow, as if dancing in sunlight, carrying whispers of tropical warmth, memories of old gardens, and the timeless beauty of nature’s design.
